For the first time in many generations, the iconic island of Ailsa Craig is on the market for a price of £1.5 million.
Home to the world’s best known Curling Stone quarry and one of the largest colonies of gannets in the world, the island lies 10 miles off the Aysrhire coast, half way between Glasgow and Belfast.
The sale includes a ruined castle, four cottages and lighthouse which have been uninhabited since 1990.
