Some ideas for your children’s bedrooms as they grow!

When children come along it’s always exciting getting their nursery prepared. Here’s some ideas to update your child’s bedroom as they grow.

For the babies…

Consider light and pastel colours, it’s always good to use wallpapers (they’re easy to clean and replace) to transmit calm. The furniture you need should be highly practical and includes a cot, storage for all the baby’s clothes, and an armchair for you to relax is a must!

And remember to place murals and pictures on the wall.

For the kids…

They’ve outgrown their cot, so it’s time to buy a bed and change the bedroom. They don’t need too much furniture, it’s better to have a few wardrobes, shelves and trunks or boxes to put the toys in, to allow the kids to have enough space to play in the room.

The room should be colourful, using vibrant colours and combined with wallpaper – maybe their favourite animal or cartoon!

Don’t forget a nice thick carpet to create a comfy place for them to play.

For the teens…

They’ve all grown up and no longer care for the animal den you’ve created for them!

Plus they now have  homework, want sleepovers and  need a bigger wardrobe for lots of clothes!

Think a single or queen bed, a desk with a comfy chair and a lamp, and if possible, close to the window. Shelves for the school books, a side table to place their mobile phone and a big wardrobe with drawers.

If you aren’t sure about what colours, blue, grey, white and green are always a good choice.
